I’ve had years of intense anxiety and traumatic responses over the last 10-15 years as a result of a traumatic marriage. I’ve tried various types of therapy to stop having such intensely emotional triggers to harmless events. I suppose I’ve had PTSD from an abusive situation.

After years of trying different types of therapies and finding no relief, I came across a fairly new type of therapy that is similar to EMDR, but like on steroids. It worked so fast I couldn’t believe it. After just 1-2 of the first 1 hour sessions, memories that were so traumatizing to recall I couldn’t even think about them without being overwhelmed with emotion, were all of a sudden emotionless to think about. It was as if I was recalling a memory of a normal day. All of a sudden, my overall sense of anxiety in life in general just started to decrease and I felt lighter and happier.

The video below describes a little more what Accelerated Resolution Therapy is and how it works. It’s a brand new type of therapy, so there aren’t a lot of providers, but if you can find one in your area, I highly recommend it!
