Burnout happens when you’re in a constant state of either emotional, physical or mental exhaustion. As this continues, energy can get sapped, feelings of helplessness and resentment take over. There are many signs of burnout. Here are some of the most common:

  1. You feel invisible, unappreciated and that nothing you do is making a difference.
  2. Most of your day is overwhelming
  3. You feel continuously exhausted.
  4. You’re beginning to lose interest in work and even things that used to be enjoyable to you.
  5. Most days are bad days.
  6. Depleted immune system, getting sick easily.
  7. Loss of appetite.
  8. Loss of motivation.
  9. Negative outlook on life.
  10. Withdrawing or isolating yourself from social interactions.
  11. Using drugs or alcohol excessively.
  12. Failing to finish tasks or get things done.
